About Bupa China
The Bupa Representative Office in China was established on 8 August 2006. Together with China's government, we are looking to provide Chinese consumers with a health insurance solution to complement the current health management system.
During the next two to three years we will be conducting consumer research and investigations into the Chinese insurance industry and hospitals in order to gain an in-depth knowledge of the local market. Currently, the multi-million-RMB consumer research is being carried out with an experienced research company. The hospital investigation is being undertaken in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
As well as Bupa China's research into the local market, we would like to share our global expertise with China. Throughout 2007 Bupa China Representative Office will host or assist with a series of forums, providing a communication platform for government leaders, academic professionals, insurance companies and medical institutions.
