In 2006, Bupa set up a Representative Office in China, focusing on market research, market entry and exploring the opportunities of contributing to the improvement of the health and wellbeing of Chinese people.

In 2007, we started running a hospital accreditation program called “Managing Quality Services” (MQS) which is dedicated to helping Chinese hospitals continuously improve quality of their medical services.

In 2011, Bupa Consulting (Beijing) Co. Ltd was set up with a 24 hours Call Centre included, the company serve as an administrative back office for supporting Bupa International to better serve its customers living in China, as well as all other local customers of future Bupa businesses.
